This study aims to determine the value of students contained in the folklore of the Legend of Tanjung Lesung which will be used as learning materials for Literary Appreciation in elementary school students. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Story analysis uses content analysis techniques and the working steps of the analysis use the theory of Philip Mayaring. The data of this study were collected through documents and validation techniques used were triangulation of data and sources, methods and theories and based on the results of the analysis of educational values showed that in the story there were several educational values including, moral values, in the form of kindness and unkindness that emerged from Raden's behavior Budug, a customary value reflected in the habits of the surrounding community, one of which is playing with the traditional game of Ngagondang, the historical value of the occurrence of an area called Tanjung Lesung which is derived from the name Tanjung and Lesung.
